10 Spiritual Practices To Connect More With God
#2: Look At Nature

Posted by Klaus Issler on September 16, 2008

Autumn is a splendid time to see the handiwork of God, his invisible attributes (Rom 1:20).

Even in California, where sometimes the seasons are not that stark, there is evidence of autumn. (See the photos from the Los Angeles Times).

In Wasting Time with God (pgs. 102-104), I talk about the importance of getting out in nature and taking stock of our lives as created beings in the midst of a created masterpiece.

Notice the colors, sounds, smells, textures, and the tastes of life designed for us.

God is the Artist-Engineer-Creator who makes things beautiful as an added touch.

Comment at this post about how you connect with God while being amidst his splendid creation. Do you have some favorite spots outside to enjoy his presence?
